Zimbabwe Context
Marula oil, cold-pressed from the kernel of the Marula tree (Sclerocarya birrea), is indigenous to Zimbabwe and is one of southern Africa's most prized skin oils. It is sold at organic markets and pharmacies across the country for eczema, dry skin, and wound healing. Neem (Azadirachta indica) was introduced and now grows in lowveld farms; its leaf extract is used for acne and fungal skin infections in both rural and urban settings.
